Thank you for your interest in letting me capture these precious memories of your baby.

Before your session

We will talk over the phone so I can find out a bit more about your family and make a discuss the styling and colours we will use in your newborn session. what you are hoping to get out of your photography experience.  This provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions you have and make sure that I am a good fit for your family.

When to book

In an ideal world you would book your appointment with me after your 20 week scan but please do call me whenever you make the decision you would like to have your baby photos taken and I will do my best to fit you in. I do only take on a certain number of newborns a month to ensure that I can accommodate any due date changes.

Your Session

During your session I will offer a variety of set-ups. I usually start with the curled up sleepy naked newborn poses. These are a great way to remember all the details of your baby from their little hands to their tiny toes. I will then use a few different prop set ups (using baskets, bowls etc). If you see a particular set up on my website that you like please let me know during your consultation.

Are family and sibling photos included?
Yes, I think these are often some of my clients favourite images.  It’s really important to me as a photographer to know that you have walked away with some images of all of you together. I often get parents saying they don’t want to be in photos. I know you maybe feeling tired and the last thing on your mind is trying to look great for some photos…. but I always think of it this way…. these photos aren’t for you, they are for you baby so when they grow up and look back at their album they see you holding them in your arms! I will do my very best to make you look your best.

What do I need to do to prepare baby the morning of my session?
I want to make this experience as easy and stress free as possible. All I ask is that you feed and change baby before you leave to come to my studio. I usually find that this gives baby a good chance of being in a deep sleep when you arrive at the studio and we can get started with the photos straight away.

How long will the session take
Newborn photo sessions normally take between 2-3 hours. I only book one newborn session in a day to ensure there are no time pressures and you have a relaxed experience.

What will this cost?
I offer 3 different priced packages.  Within 2 weeks of your session date I will send you an online gallery. You can then decided which package best suits you.

I am affiliated with a number of professional printing services so I am able to offer high quality products such as wall art, albums or prints. Please ask me for more details if this is something you are interested in.

Fresh 48 Sessions

Hospital Newborn Sessions, also known as Fresh 48 Sessions. Within the first 48 hours of your baby’s arrival at the hospital (or your home in case of a home birth), I capture the essence of this magical time. It’s a period filled with the formation of new family bonds as parents and older siblings connect with your  newest member.

My approach is unposed, capturing the genuine emotional connections that naturally unfold among your family members. These sessions beautifully encapsulate the raw and heartfelt moments that often become hazy in the whirlwind of welcoming a new baby.

Allow me to be part of these precious moments, preserving memories that are otherwise fleeting. I offer hospital newborn sessions at North Island Hospital, Comox Valley & North Island Hospital, Campbell River & District.
