Before your session

I offer a no-obligation free consultation in my studio or at your home. This is an opportunity for me to find out a bit more about your family and what you are hoping to get out of your photography experience.  It provides you with an opportunity to ask any questions you have and for me to show you the products that are available after your photo session.

Where does the session take place?

Sessions take place in the comfort of my home studio near Deep Cove in North Vancouver. People often comment that they like the relaxed feel of the environment.

When to book

In an ideal world you would book your appointment with me after your 20 week scan but please do call me whenever you make the decision you would like to have your babies photos take and I will do my best to fit you in. I do only take on a certain number of newborns a month to ensure that I can accommodate any due date changes.

What do I need to do to prepare baby the morning of my session?

I want to make this experience as easy and stress free as possible. All I ask is that you feed and change baby before you leave to come to my studio. I usually find that this gives baby a good chance of being in a deep sleep when you arrive at the studio and we can get started with the photos straight away.

How long will the session take

Newborn photo sessions normally take between 2-3 hours. I only book one newborn session in a day to ensure there are no time pressures and you have a relaxed experience.

Are family and sibling photos included?

Yes, I think these are often some of my clients favourite images. Sibling shots are usually done at the beginning of the session and then ideally they will leave early with the second parent. Parent shots are usually done at the end of the session but I always keep things flexible as the sessions are baby led.

Image reveal and ordering appointment

The image and reveal appointment takes place around 1-2 weeks after your session. At this appointment you will see your final 20 images in a slide show.  I will help you select your favourite images and then go through the options for wall art, albums or prints. You are under no obligation to purchase images or products. In fact if you decide to walk away without purchasing anything I will refund you your session fee so it won’t cost you anything.
